Rapid Eyewear have been producing quality sunglasses for specialist markets since 2005 from their base in Kent.
The directors of the company are:
JOHN CLARK
A father-of-three, John has a varied working background, ranging from a long career as an electronics engineer to journalism. The University of Kent graduate is now committed to Rapid Eyewear, and has been instrumental in bringing quality products to market for the company.
John’s statement: “There are huge numbers of sunglasses on the market today, but few – if any – truly cater for the specific needs of the modern pilot. We felt it was time to address this problem, and through our Mile High range, we certainly feel that we have.”
COLIN MCGINN
With his father being a commercial pilot, Colin was hardly able to miss out on the delights of aviation, and flying has never been far from his life. A former RAF winchman and Falklands War veteran, Colin can often be found in one of Challock’s gliders above the Kent Countryside, or an open-cockpit Stearman at Manston. Colin is also a long-time fan of radio-controlled model helicopters, and has become a highly accomplished pilot in the field. In addition to being a Director of Rapid Eyewear, Colin is on the board at Autography Flight Technology Ltd, market leaders in lithium polymer battery technology.
